Offered here is a 2 piece US Army Sergeant (E-5) uniform. The uniform dates from Korea to Vietnam era. This is a Tropical 10.5 OZ. Khaki Shade M-1, contract No. 5762 size 36S(short) jacket. (Whistle not included)
The slantly stripes on the lower sleeve indicate this sergeant had 9 to 12 years of service (3 years each). The smaller straight stripes lower sleeve were awarded for 18-24 months in a combat zone (6 months each). The red and white patch is the Eighth Army group. The red diamond is the 5th Division.
The FSN (Federal Stock Number) under the size on the tag in the jacket is 8405-753-2919.
The tag on the pants have: SHORT W-31 L-32 and the FCN # 8405-577-4769. There is also another tag stapled on the inside
right pocket with the number 21495 on it.
Both pieces are in very good condition with the only flaws being a couple pin head size (moth?) holes. |
